Quality and Reliability. The Laerdal Silicone Resuscitator consists of 5 main parts. A clear silicone mask with a multi-function mask cover allows the user to view lip color, discharge, vomit and fogging from exhalation during ventilations.

The one-way patient valve allows air to flow to the patient without draining air from the patient back into the breathing bag. The rotatable connector provides more flexibility and allows ventilation in multiple positions.

The clear silicone resuscitator provides excellent re-expansion, giving the user a strong sense of lung compliance and thus reducing the risk of over-inflation.

The integrated intake and reservoir valve can be connected to an external oxygen supply if required. The oxygen can be stored in the buffer balloon which is connected to the valve.

The Laerdal Silicone Resuscitator is available in an adult size for patients over 20 kg, a pediatric size for patients weighing 2.5 to 20 kg, and a preterm size for patients weighing less than 2.5 kg. The pediatric and preterm LSR come standard with a pressure relief valve to prevent airway pressure of 35cm H20 or more. When more pressure is required, the pressure relief valve can be closed by pressing the valve, or by using a “lock clip”.
